I read Wisdom of our fathers first, and Big Russ 2nd. I actually enjoyed Wisdom of our Fathers a little more since it gave you such a wide range of emotions that people felt for for their dads. This book makes you laugh, or tear-up with the turn of a page.   For some in this book, the appreciation came later than they would have liked. But as Wisdom of Our Fathers reminds us, it is never too late to embrace it. From the father who coached his daughter in sports (and life), attending every meet, game, performance, and tournament, to the daughter who, after a fifteen-year estrangement, learned to 4/5(12).

Heartfelt, humorous, engaging, irresistibly readable, and bound to bring back memories of unforgettable moments with our own fathers, Tim Russert’s new book is not only a fitting companion to his own marvelous memoir, but also a celebration of the positive qualities passed down from generation to /5(14).   Wisdom Of Our Fathers Tim Russert Books On Tape Hahn Road, Westminster, MD $ Wisdom Of Our Fathers: Lessons And Letters From Daughters And Sons is both authored and narrated by Tim Russert, with additional reading by Joseph Buttler, Marc Cashman, Susan Denaker, Kathe Mazur, Arthur Morey, and Staci Snell.

June Pondering the importance of fathers in our lives, philosopher Frederich Nietzsche said, “Whoever does not have a good father should procure one.” the sheer density of boatbuilding detail may restrict this book’s appeal to boatwrights and woodworking enthusiasts.   In addition to the daily devotion, Boyd has authored three devotional books: Infusion, a day devotional, Seeking Daily the Heart of God, a day devotional and Seeking God in the Psalms, a day devotional along with several day devotional e-Books on topics such as Wisdom for Fathers, Wisdom for Mothers, Wisdom for Graduates, and.

After writing his book about his father, Tim Russert received thousands of letters from people detailing their own relationships with their fathers. This book is a compilation of just a small amount of those letters, with his own thoughts and feelings intermixed/5.

Wisdom of Our Fathers is a wonderful book written by Tim Russert. The book contains many letters written by Daughters and Sons recalling memories, imparted wisdom, experiences, lessons learned or just sharing stories about their fathers.

Many of the stories were heart touching stories and I am not ashamed to admit that some of the stories made /5(). The wisdom of our fathers book of Our Father's does what other books try to do: it delivers on the promise of its title.

Regardless of what one thinks of Tim Russert (I happen to think he is a quality journalist and very simply, a good man), WISDOM OF OUR FATHERS is an incredibly touching, diverse, and fulfilling book.

Russert's previous effort, BIG RUSS AND ME, was superb also. Russert fields and publishes the letters he received as a result of those reading BIG Cited by: 4.

About Wisdom of Our Fathers. What does it really mean to be a good father. What did your father tell you, that has stayed with you throughout your life. Was there a lesson from him, a story, or a moment that helped to make you who you are.
